Nice event space with good acoustics and a cool bar set up. First time here but I enjoyed the ease of access and free parking. Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy event was great!

After some time decompressing from our wedding event back in August 2023, we finally have the time to reflect… We want to thank Cassy for being so helpful through the process and challenges we’ve encountered along the way. One of our friend referred us here since it’s near where we live and it just made sense with the logistics of everything. The space was just right for about 120 guests—not too big or small, it felt cozy and intimate. We were able to also rent the loft which was perfect for us to getaway and have quiet time and eat while guests were entertaining themselves. It was one of the most memorable day for our Lao Wedding Ceremony and reception. The venue is a blank canvas that gives you plenty of options to host any event and a great central location if you want an industrial urban vibe.

Do it!! Buy the ticket! Dress up in black! Hear wonderful performances! And drink great beverages!! Enjoy!!!

Union Pine's staff is second to none. We got married this weekend and our previous event space cancelled on us the week of. Miraculously, Union Pine was available and we were able to put an event together in under a week. We rented the Loft space for two days and it was a perfect space for a rehearsal dinner and getting-ready event. Jess and Lainey were excellent event managers. Honestly can't speak highly enough!

Union/Pine is a gem of a venue in Portland. The space is stylish, versatile, and effortlessly blends industrial charm with warmth. Whether for a wedding, party, or creative event, it offers a great flow, beautiful lighting, and excellent acoustics. The staff were professional, friendly, and made the entire experience seamless. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, well-run event space!

As a wedding planner, I’ve worked with a wide range of venues — and while this one had visual appeal and potential, the lack of structure, communication, and logistical clarity made for an unnecessarily stressful experience for both myself and my clients. From the start, communication was inconsistent. Every site visit was led by a different person, each with a different version of what was or wasn’t included. Our main contact, who had been helpful, left shortly before the 30-day mark with no formal handoff. After that, we were left with minimal communication on key elements like the bar (which wasn’t finalized until just days before the event), the layout, and even the parking lot — which my clients had requested from the time of booking, yet still caused confusion during the rehearsal. On the actual wedding day — which, thankfully, ran smoothly due to vendor teamwork — there was even a plumbing leak in the loft where the clients were staying as part of the “weekend package.” It affected the main venue space and could’ve been a disaster if not handled carefully. To be clear: the onsite staff the day-of were kind and helpful, and we made it work. But the venue should be the foundation of a smooth planning process, and this one consistently added more stress than support. Until there are significant improvements in communication, internal systems, and overall professionalism, I cannot in good faith recommend this venue to future clients. It looks beautiful — but behind the scenes, it needs serious work.

Great event! I have been to 3 events by them now and every time is a unique experience.
